The concept of composition and the initial two tracks for each piece were conceived of and recorded in a single day in The Bunker. Each piece was built upon an initial grounding track of four minutes of oscillation between a Fender tube amp and a Vox tube amp. For Harvest Me and You're a Mystery to Me, the next elements constructed were the guitars; for In My Head, the percussion was the next layer. Immersion into these basic sounds set contexts, which led to the lyrics for each piece.
